Graduates of the Iowa Methodist Medical Center Transitional Year Residency have entered categorical programs at the following institutions since the inception of our program in 1991:

• Anesthesiology at the University of Iowa, the University of California - San Francisco, the University of Nebraska, St. Louis University, Wake Forest University, The Mayo Clinic, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the Medical College of Wisconsin, Oregon Health Sciences University and the Mayo Clinic - Scottsdale. 
• Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, Tulane University, the University of Iowa, the University of Arizona, West Virginia University, the University of Rochester (NY), the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. 
• Radiology at Duke University, the University of Nebraska, the University of Iowa, Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Mayo Clinic, University of Missouri - Kansas City, University of Florida - Shands, Geisinger (PA), St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Ohio State University, the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin.
• Radiation Oncology at the University of Iowa and the University of Arizona.
• Emergency Medicine at Richland Memorial Hospital (South Carolina).
• Family Medicine at Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Broadlawns Medical Center (Iowa).
• Dermatology at the University of Iowa, Oregon Health and Science University and the University of Texas - Houston.
